The nOS project has released a revised whitepaper and announced they are refocusing from the NEO blockchain to enter into a partnership with competitor ARK. Designed to be an all-in-one platform for web apps to implement business models powered by blockchain technologies, nOS believe ARK’s modular and open-source framework is more aligned with the company’s aims and better facilitates the launching of new features.

Originally issued as an NEP-5 smart contract token on the NEO blockchain through an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) last November, nOS will introduce their new public testnet powered by ARK Core technology by the end of September 2019.
Smart Bridge Technology
Previously, nOS has helped to bring apps such as NEO Economy Store and gaming sites like nOS Poker to life on the NEO blockchain but Dean van Dugteren, founder and CEO of nOS, believes that the new partnership with ARK is special as “It goes beyond a technological level. We’re cooperating on strategic and technical solutions that help elevate both projects…”
Having come to market through an ICO in 2016, ARK themselves have reportedly worked closely with the French regulatory body AMF and the National Bank of France to ensure meeting the necessary compliance requirements.
Currently, ARK are actively working with a number of projects who, according to the company’s Chairman Matthew Cox, are “…in varying stages of development through our Powered by ARK program and are seeing a mix of interest from parties both creating new ARK Bridgechains as well as those looking to migrate from other technologies.”
In a recent blog post discussing the new partnership with nOS, ARK highlighted the flexibility that their Smart Bridge technology can offer nOS or any other developers as “…creators can still choose to deploy apps to the platform that are powered by any blockchain such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, NEO, and EOS.”
