Binance CEO: “I have yet to meet anyone who understands Blockchain who doesn’t believe in it”

2018 has been – and continues to be – arguably the greatest challenge yet faced by the crypto-community in terms of its faith in the potential offered up by blockchain technology, provoking a lot of soul-searching amongst the estimated 30 to 50 million crypto-holders who have been part of the ride.

And today, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, who is better known by his abbreviation CZ, has been tweeting out a series of as pithy philosophical statements as you could hope to find in their summary of the current conditions of the crypto markets.

That same tweet was sandwiched between one that had been sent out a few minutes earlier where Zhao – an ex-developer at Bloomberg of Chinese origin but who grew up in Canada – asked, “Truth time: are you a believer?”

And to complete what appears to have been a trilogy of philosophical reflections from the crypto-billionaire, a few hours later he further tweeted:

On a day when Ethereum – arguably the Blockchain’s most prominent smart contracts platform has fallen  below the $200 mark for the first time in 2018, from an all-time high of $1417 registered on January 10th – it appears that even those who have done well from the crypto-mania of late 2017 are feeling the impact of what has been a particularly stubborn bear sentiment.

But it also appears that the conclusions that they have been drawing are that there is a need to go back to the basics themselves – what blockchain technology is and what tangible benefits it brings as opposed to the speculative runs brought by herd-mentality investments which are failing to take a step back and view the much larger picture.
