Intel and IBM to Attend London Blockchain Summit

It is arguably the most important blockchain event in the corporate calendar. And this year’s London Blockchain Summit looks set to be the biggest yet with over 2,500 attendees so far confirmed.

Taking place in London’s Olympia Exhibition Centre, over 120 speakers have been lined up for the summit which will host talks on a range of subjects covering the impact, benefit and fallout of blockchain technology. Representatives from some of the world’s leading players in the field of technology, consultancy and financial services including IBM, PWC, SAP, Intel, Oracle and Accenture will also be attending.

Targeting the Skeptics

The event will also platform over three dozen case studies of blockchain technology currently implemented within industry, and tellingly also features a talk entitled Taking Blockchain from Catchphrase to Business, likely seeking to tackle lingering skepticism within some quarters about the widespread applicability of blockchain-based solutions.

Among the closing talks at the summit is The Future of ICOs, itself perhaps a reflection of what has arguably been the biggest fall-out of blockchain technology: the ICO / token-sale model of capital fundraising which has shaken corporate finance (and governance) to its core.
