An impressive 624 acres of land in Honduras, including 2.5 miles of pristine beachfront, is being offered for sale through global real estate provider, Propy.
The swathe of land comes at a price tag of $52 million and, whilst a conventional fiat purchase in USD is acceptable, buyers also have the option of paying in either Bitcoin or Ethereum.
CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS CONNECTION
Situated 18 miles west of Trujillo in the north of Honduras, the area is said to be where Christopher Columbus made his only landfall on the mainland of the Americas in 1502.
According to Propy, another selling point for the property is “…the local area is known as being one of the safest in Honduras, with an economy rapidly growing due to the addition of new residential developments and the cruise ship terminal Banana Coast.”
Propy came to market just over a year ago and raised around $15 million in its ICO. The last 12 months have seen a steady rise in the number of properties available for purchase with cryptocurrency on their platform including the spectacular Palazzetto Mansion in Rome.
Presently the Honduran property is the most expensive listing for a cryptocurrency sale on Propy, with second place occupied by 27 acres of land in Silicon Valley – for sale at $14 million, recently reduced from $16 million.
Along with the rest of the altcoin market, Propy’s token (PRO) has seen a downturn in price and is currently trading at around $0.30, considerably lower than its all time high of just under $5.
